About CamCrunch

My name is Nico Mojica and I've been photographing since the age of 15. I am now in my early 20's and pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Graphic Design. Don't be fooled by my course of study, photography still remains as one of my biggest passions in life. But enough about me, let's talk about CamCrunch.

CamCrunch was established in 2011 as a news and rumors site for all things related to photography, though it slowly evolved into something much bigger. With the addition of a YouTube channel, CamCrunch became about sharing my passion and knowledge of photography with everyone. I am not a professional photographer and I've never claimed to be one, but I've learned a lot in the time that I've been photographing. I enjoy sharing what I know with people via short videos and blog posts because I believe that information should be easily accesible to everyone. I also believe that by sharing what I know about photography, I will want to push myself to learn even more.

Just like you, I'm continually learning new things everyday. CamCrunch is my way of sharing what I know about photography to whomever can benefit from it.

In this blog, you will see some of my work accompanied by behind that scenes or tutorial videos on how I created specific shots. A misconception that I want to get rid of is the belief that taking good photographs is something that only professional photographers can do. To master the art of photography, like with any other craft, takes time and effort, but anyone can do it.

I wish I could tell you more about CamCrunch but, the truth is, I'm not 100% sure where it is headed! All I can say is that I'm going to do my best to bring you quality content that will, hopefully, help you in your journey as a photographer.

  1. Hey Nico, great site! I've been watching your videos for a while on YT and actually started my own photography journey this year. Studying graphic design will make you an even better photographer in my opinion as you'll be learning about composition, elements of design, color theory etc. Good for you and all the best!

  2. Thanks for nice review. Since last one year I am planning to buy full-frame and now I am pre-ordering this A7/A7r but not sure which one is suitable for me A7 or A7r?. Sure I fancy more A7r but you mentioned that A7r don’t have Face detection and also A7r is more for landscapes. Normally I take photos of my kids and very rarely landscape.

Really appreciate if you could let me know which model will be good for me ?

    Cheers

  3. Hello, great site and great work you've done there. Been following you from YouTube and got experience from your videos.
Besides all this, I'll make sure people from middle east to follow you and help developing what you started.

I always wanted to ask about my camera Canon 7D (Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens) I bought it 2 years back and and not quite sure if i did the right thing.. I'm more into portrait shots (But i guess i've got wrong lens) beside all that, Kinda started sports shooting in dim light places (obviously wrong technics i'm using). Can you advice me lenses should i use? or want me to change camera?

    Thanks

  4. Hey, whats up Nico. I just discovered you from a link about a Intuous tablet. Peeped your photography portfolio and checked up a bit about you. I too am a graphic designer and very interested in photography.
I don't have a YouTube channel or professional website but i'll like to collaborate with you...somehow. I need to push my creative site to its limit. You can reach me at stripedesign@yahoo.com. Lets talk ideas. I see a great potential in this.
